Ram Charan and Pushpa Director Sukumar Officially Launch RC17 as Chiranjeevi Gives the First Clap
It has taken more than two years for Ram Charan and Sukumar's reunion to move from an announcement photograph to a formal film launch. On November 1, 2026, the actor and director celebrated the beginning of RC17 with a traditional pooja ceremony in Hyderabad. Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan's father and one of Telugu cinema's biggest stars, performed the ceremonial first clap. The project reunites the pair eight years after Rangasthalam and brings together Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings and T-Series. It is an important production milestone, although the movie's final title, story and release schedule remain unannounced.
